Sisal Basket-XL

These sisal baskets are an easy way to inject some colour into any home. Each basket is a one-of-a-kind, one-off beauty!

Made by weaving groups near Kasigau, south-eastern Kenya each basket is a very labour intensive piece of art. All the ladies weave baskets with their self-twined and self-dyed sisal string, using both natural dye and commercial non toxic dyes.

Buying this basket directly supports the weavers to increase their livelihoods and become less dependent on self-sufficiency farming, which is unreliable during dry seasons.
