Hand cut, hammered and carefully finished out of a thin base sheet, these birdies are then layered with washes of hand blended ground pigments. A light protective coat is applied between layers of pigment (to keep the colours from bleeding into each other). Dried and heated ever so slightly before each of the four (or more) washes of colour, our birds are finished with a clear topcoat.

At 16.5cm long, they are still blissfully light on the lobes. Sterling posts.
